How we choose products
We recommend fewer things than most sites, on purpose. A product makes it into an ikigaid article only if we’d tell a friend to buy it.
What we look at
- Does it solve the actual problem? Not the feature list; the reason you’re shopping in the first place.
- What real owners report over time. We read long-term reviews, return complaints and failure patterns, not just launch-week ratings.
- What it costs to live with. Replacement parts, subscriptions, durability, and whether it’s still useful after the novelty wears off.
- Who should skip it. Every pick comes with a “Skip it if” note, because no product is right for everyone.
What we don’t do
- We don’t accept payment for placement or rankings.
- We don’t show prices, because they change hourly. Always check the current price before you buy.
- We don’t recommend products with patterns of safety issues or misleading claims, whatever they pay.
How we earn money
Some links are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, ikigaid earns from qualifying purchases. Commissions never decide what we recommend or in what order.
Keeping it current
We review our product guides regularly and update them when a better option appears, a product changes, or it stops being worth the money. Each article shows when it was last updated.
